Vexen der Kryssar, newest appointed member of the Elder Council, stood before a gathering of young Royeax children, the moonlight weaving a silvery glow upon the tree trunks surrounding them. The young ones listened with eyes wide as Councilor Vexen started to speak.

"Take heed, child! The Cult of Maruk thrive in the dark! They are of the dark, and their god is darkness itself!" his voice carried the weight of centuries of wisdom from their ancestors..

The flickering of the torches emphasized the dancing of the shadows around them, creating an eerie atmosphere. Vexen continued on, recalling tales of the Cult's dark rituals, their insidious influence, and the chaos they threaten to bring to the Royeax way of life.

As his warning echoed through the night, the Royeax children felt a chill run down their spines, and the importance of the Elder's words floated in the air. The forest, at one time a sanctuary, now felt like it held many secrets and dangers they'd never beheld before.

The wind whistled through the leaves, adding mystery to Vexen's words. The children looked at each other anxiously, their imaginations bringing up images of the Cult of Maruk watching them from the shadows.

"Do not ever underestimate the power of our unity, dear young ones." the Councilor went on, his voice becoming a comforting murmur, "In the face of the darkness, our ties as a people becomes as a beacon of light. We must always stand together, and if we allow Jelvok's light to guide us, our unity will never waver."

The moonlight filtered through the sacred canopy of the temple, casting a reassuring glow on the gathering, While Vexen's words carried a mixture of caution and of hope, reminding them that even in the darkest of times, the Royeax people drew great strength from their faith and from each other.

As the gathering came to a close, the children departed with their parents, the weight of the Councilor's warning nestled in their hearts.
