Meta: How I came to love Agents of SHIELD
Jan. 8th, 2026 10:43 amI admit I first started watching Agents of SHIELD, I first started watching this series because I loved Phil Coulson in the MCU.
And I admit the first episodes of the series are not my favorite because they had too much monster/strange thing of the week spiel but when they hit the Clairvoyant storyline and especially Season 1 Episode 10 "The Bridge" where they started hitting their stride, I started liking the series more. The tie in story to Captain America: The Winter Soldier sealed the deal and I was hooked on the series from there on out.
The very first relationship I loved on the series was the Dad/Daughter relationship between Coulson and (Skye) Daisy because he really was her Dad in every way that counted but blood. I believe their relationship helped to get me hooked on the series, especially when (highlight to read): (Skye) Daisy was shot by Quinn, and Coulson pulled out all stops to save her life. He was willing to do anything he had to do to save her life no matter how extreme it was - like ignoring orders from command and breaking into a secret facility where he found the pickled Kree aka the secret of how Fury had had him brought back from death. I also might've started falling in love with May too a little bit in this episode because of her showing how angry she was over what Quinn had done to (Skye) Daisy.
But I think it was towards the end of Season 1 and into Season 2 is when I started to truly falling in love with the other characters.
